More Bears’ related showing data this week, as we take a look at showings over the weekend without a game.
Taking a look at last week’s post on the slump in listing showings, we had hypothesized that the weekend of the 29th/30th would most likely see an increase in showings on Sunday. If you think about it, this makes plenty of sense given that Chicagoan buyers and sellers are less likely to be glued to the tube watching their favorite team.
Well the results are in, and not only was there a 56% increase in showings for Sunday January 30th, but a 7% decrease on the showings for Saturday. While Saturday’s decrease is normal market fluctuation, Sundays jump is most certainly in line with our predictions. The 30th saw a greater number of showings than the playoff bye week, and the greatest number of showings thus far on a Sunday in 2011.
